This monument features two walls of natural limestone that frame a narrow void that is oriented towards the World Trade Center. Suspended in this void is a steel column salvaged from the site after 9/11. The monument’s stone walls are engraved with the words “NEVER FORGET” in multiple languages. The gesture towards New York is reinforced by an articulated line in a circular inscribed plaza that sits on an axis with the World Trade Center site. This line is embedded with the date and location of the attack.
